Blacko wins artiste of the year @VGMA 24

Mohammed Ismail Sherrif popularly known as Black Sherrif was crowned artiste of year at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). The contention for the ultimate was between the gospel fraternity and the secular music.
Joe Mettle became the first gospel musician to win the award won in 2017 and then, Diana Hamilton also won it in 2021.
Black Sherif won three awards on the night which included the prestigious Artiste of the Year, Best Hip Pop Song, and Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year Award.
Artistes who were also nominated in the category included King Promise, Kidi, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Camido, Joe Mettle and a host of others.
Blacko now has the bragging right until the next VGMA which is going to be the 25th edition.
The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) was a night to remember, with top-notch performances from some Ghana’s most talented musicians.
