Enzo Maresca appointed as Leicester City boss

Leicester City has appointed Enzo Maresca as their new first-team manager. This comes after Maresca signed a 3-year contract deal with Leicester.

Joining Leicester City from treble winners, Manchester City, Maresca says he is excited to work with Leicester as he will give his 100 percent best in the big season ahead of the club.

Newly appointed manager Maresca will be tasked with leading Leicester immediately back to the Premier League after they were relegated. He replaces interim boss Dean Smith, who oversaw just two victories from eight games in a failed attempt to keep the Foxes in the Premier League.

Leicester are back in the Championship for the first time in 10 years after a disastrous campaign that saw them finish 18th in the table, with just nine Premier League wins.

The Italian has had a long association with English football during what has been an eclectic playing and coaching career.
