Celebrated sports journalist Joyce Annor Yeboah popularly known as Efya Empress has resigned from her position as the sports commissioner of the University of Media Arts and Communication -Gij after 3 months in office.
Her resignation comes on the back of the current leadership of the SRC’s failure to release funds for the sports festival slated for the 27th and 28 of June 2023.
In a letter cited by echonewsonline.com, the commission stated that “they have exhausted all channels to fund the activity yet nothing seems to be working out”.
However, according to sources the leadership of the SRC are working around the clock to make the event happen despite the commissions decision to pull out with barely 24 hours to the event.
